This area of the website is dedicated to providing you with online, educational resources specially tailored to our Mandarin learning in school. The resources have been created by our Chinese Language Assistant. 

Week Beginning 4th May 2020

KS1 

Children can use the PowerPoint below to revise and consolidate their knowledge of animals and numbers. This knowledge can then be used in the song at the end of the PowerPoint. There is also a worksheet where children can write about their favourite animals. 

LKS2

Children can use the PowerPoint below to revise and consolidate their knowledge of food choices. This knowledge can then be used in the quiz at the end of the PowerPoint. 

UKS2

Children can use the PowerPoint below to revise and consolidate their knowledge of exercise and hobbies. This knowledge can then be used to complete the activity which includes writing their weekly routine in Mandarin.

Week Beginning 11th May 2020

KS1 

Children can use the PowerPoint below to consolidate their knowledge of the parts of the body in Mandarin. There is also a matching card activity. This knowledge can then be used in the song which the children have learnt before in school.

LKS2

Children can use the PowerPoint below to add new knowledge to their bank of existing Mandarin words and phrases for food items. There is both revision and new learning.

UKS2

Children can use the PowerPoint below to learn how to tell the time and talk about time and exercise. This knowledge can then be used to widen their conversational vocabulary.

Week Beginning 18th May 2020

KS1 

Children this week are learning a song about growing and collecting vegetables. 

LKS2

Children will be reviewing the food learnt over the past two weeks and developing a fluent conversation with a shopkeeper. 

UKS2

Children will be learning how to talk about their daily routine. 

Week Beginning 1st June 2020

KS1 

Miss Tang has prepared a song called 'Summer is Coming' and a lyric sheet to support you in learning the song. 

LKS2

Children can learn about stationery which they will then be able to apply into their daily life and routines. 

UKS2

Children can learn about furniture which they can use in conversations.
