Homework is set each half term and is based on the topic or subject being studied in school
Our class teacher is Miss Pritchard
In Year 4 learning is based around the National Curriculum. The daily lessons are English and Maths. Reading skills and grammar aspects are embedded within our daily English lessons. Throughout the week, pupils participate in Science, Topic, R.E., Music, P.E., French and Mandarin lessons. Our topics are all cross-curricular and incorporate Art, Design and Technology and Computing skills within the half term.
Our class will be a calm and peaceful place where we can learn and progress throughout the year. We know we need to be set challenges to stretch our thinking, and will try to develop our growth mindset as the year unravels.
We know that we are lucky to have so many different talents and personalities in our class. Lots of us have different ideas and opinions, but we treat everybody equally and listen to what our friends have to say. We care about each other, and will look out for each other in and around school.
Whilst we try to follow the school and class rules, we know that we may make mistakes, but hope to resolve them by being honest and trying our best to put things right.
In this class we will be respectful of all. We know that we are all different and our individuality is what makes us unique - we will celebrate the fact that we go to a school and live in a country where those differences can be expressed freely.
This class will set the examples for other classes in the way we work, behave and achieve. We know that at times we may slip up, we also know that we must be truthful and accept the consequences when we do, but we will strive to ensure that this happens as little as possible.
This year will be fun, we will grow as people and prepare ourselves for high school. Finally, this class will be a place where potential is achieved through the effort of not only ourselves but everyone that
