In Year 3/4 we set high expectations and support the children to achieve and aim high. I believe that what we enjoy we never forget. So, I always focus on making our lessons as memorable as possible. Our classroom is a safe and secure place where everyone’s thoughts and opinions are valued and respected. Making mistakes is something that is used as a learning opportunity and we work with the children to edit and improve their work. We love celebrating achievements in Year 3/4, especially with raffle tickets and stickers.

Throughout the year in Year 3/4 children will focus on accessing the Lower Key Stage Two curriculum, using their key skills learnt in KS1. We use the school facilities and grounds to complete learning indoors and outdoors. Our key focus is for the children to become independent learners that problem solve to achieve their best. I hope to create great memories for the children so they remember this year as a positive and exciting experience. Some of our exciting learning experiences coming up include, a trip to Jorvik Viking Centre and our Christmas production.

Keep up to date with what we get up to on our class twitter page @DaneRoydY3_4
